Dodge Scat Pack Build: Old School Soul, New School Muscle

In the heart of North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, lives a builder whose passion for horsepower runs deep. At 47, Dwan “Mamba” Harris has already created six show cars—imports, lowriders, muscle, you name it. He’s traveled coast to coast sharing his builds and soaking in the culture that raised him.

His latest machine, a menacing 2023 Dodge Charger Scat Pack Widebody, is more than a showpiece. It’s a tribute—to legacy, to vision, and to the car culture that shaped him. With plans for a SEMA 2025 debut, this one hits harder than the rest.

A Legacy on Four Wheels

Dwan’s automotive passion began with his father, a lifelong car enthusiast who passed away in 2020.

“I’ve been around cars since I was a kid,” Dwan says. “Cars, trucks, bikes—anything with wheels. My dad introduced me to it all. That passion’s never left.”

From competitive karting to earning the title of 2017 Flat Kart Champion, Dwan has lived a life centered on speed and detail. His newest build is a continuation of that legacy.

Dodge Scat Pack Build: Building the “Ghoul”

The inspiration? A joke.

On April 1st, MotorTrend posted a spoof rendering of a Hellcat Widebody ‘Ghoul’ concept—wild lines, aggressive stance, the whole fantasy package. But instead of laughing it off, Dwan archived the idea.

“When Dodge dropped the Last Call lineup, that Ghoul concept came back to me. It was time to build my own version.”

He ordered a 2023 Charger Scat Pack Widebody, bone stock, and began a transformation rooted in Mopar history and modern aggression.

Finished in F8 Green, a classic 1970s Dodge color, the Ghoul Bee blends vintage soul with futuristic power.

“I build with a full plan before the car even arrives. Color, theme, stance, drivetrain—it’s all mapped out. Of course things change, but the plan starts early.”

Dodge Scat Pack Build: Controlled Chaos

This isn’t a cosmetic build—this one bites.

The Charger now houses a fully forged 426ci HEMI, topped with a 3.0L supercharger. Supporting upgrades include:

• Blower cam
• Ported & polished heads
• Upgraded injectors
• Stainless Works long-tube headers
• High-flow catalytic converters
• AWE Tuning performance exhaust

To handle the power, Dwan pairs the engine with a reinforced suspension:

• RDM Builds upper control arms
• Petty Garage 1.25” lowering coils
• Wheel-hop eliminator kit

A 1-of-1 set of TIS Street Wheels wrapped in wide 315-series rubber keeps the Ghoul Bee planted.

Factory Brembo 6-piston fronts and 4-piston rears bring everything to a halt when needed.

The interior is a blend of motorsport inspiration and modern refinement.

“The car scene is home,” he says. “It’s where you meet people who feel like family. No clubs, no bars—just passion and good energy.”

His advice to newcomers?

“Always build for you. And put your best face forward—you never know who’s watching.”
