Meet the Builder: Drew Jackson

My name is Drew Jackson, and I live just outside Charlotte, NC, in a small town called Cramerton with my wife Ashley and our kids, Savannah and Camden.

By day, I work in the heating and air industry in sales. By night (and most weekends), I’m either playing with  cars or hanging out with my  car family, Team Chozen, or spending time with my wife and kids.

 Cars have been a passion since I was young. Whether helping family wrench on old rides or being glued to movies like Gone in 60 Seconds and Fast & Furious, I was hooked early. In the early 2000s, I joined a local car club called Team Chozen, which really launched my drive to modify cars—and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

Why a Mustang EcoBoost?

I’ve always loved Mustangs, but I also have a strong passion for JDM and tuner builds. The 2016 Ford Mustang EcoBoost gave me the best of both worlds:

• Rear-wheel drive and aggressive styling I love about Mustangs.
• Turbocharged 4-cylinder platform perfect for JDM-inspired mods.

Every inch of this car has been touched in some way. My goal? To build one of the nicest bagged Mustangs in the country.

This Mustang isn’t just about looks. It’s pushing 520 HP and 550 TQ, tuned for serious performance:

• Precision NX2 turbo with Turbonetics wastegate & BOV
• MBRP race exhaust & catless downpipe
• Speed Factory race intercooler
• AEM water/meth injection
• Pro tuned by Tune+
• TunePlus Heavy Duty pistons & Callies H-beam rods
• King XP-Series race bearings, balance shaft delete

Supporting mods like an Air Raid intake, NGK plugs, dual catch cans, and forged internals make this EcoBoost more than show—it’s built to move.

Inside, the Mustang showcases a blend of luxury and race styling:

• Braum racing seats with harness & bar
• Custom rear seat delete wrapped in white gator skin
• Hardline trunk setup with LED-lit air tank by Carolina Stance Shop
• White diamond-stitched floor mats
• Carbon fiber console, custom door panels, and wrapped dash trim
• White & carbon fiber steering wheel

It’s a cabin that feels part show car, part motorsport.

On the outside, the car demands attention:

• Gloss Metal Hawaii Mint wrap with carbon fiber PPF
• Fiberglass Mafia widebody kit with dress-up bolt hardware
• GT500 front fascia with Oracle LED headlights
• Vicrez splitters, MMD duckbill wing, Euro taillights
• Low glow underglow kit
• Real carbon fiber engine bay trim
• Sterling silver luminous tint

The widebody stance is completed by Heritage Ebisu 3-piece wheels (19×14 squared, white face with polished lips) wrapped in Indy Firehawks, with Airlift 3H suspension and Godspeed camber/toe arms dialing in the fitment.

For those late-night cruises and shows, Drew added:

• Full DS18 audio system
• One 12-inch inverted sub + two 8-inch inverted subs

Bagged Mustang Widebody: Future Plans

At this stage, there’s not much more to add. My focus now is maintaining the build’s quality and making minor updates along the way. This Mustang is my dream car—and it’s exactly how I envisioned it.
